Gail Crosby has been studying nature closely in the rivers, hills and seashores of Humboldt County. Her frequent forays into wilderness never fail to replenish her imagination with scenes of animals, trees and special places where woodland spirits abide. "I like to take a form from nature, like an old moss-covered fir stump and translate that shape into useful items, like ceramic planters."
